About Me
Hi there! I’m Deion. These are some of the reasons why I’m a great choice for your fiction project.
1) Writing developed over time
My freelance writing career began in 2016, when I first started ghostwriting short stories. I primarily worked with paranormal romance at the time. In 2018, while pursuing my B.A. in English and Creative Writing, I began writing as a ghostwriter at HotGhostWriter, where I wrote a wide variety of tropes and genres, in lengths ranging from 30,000 to 100,000 words.
I graduated with my English and Creative Writing degree in 2020, and in 2021, I started working full-time as a content writer. While this wasn’t fiction-focused writing, it did help me develop amazing research skills. During this time, I wrote about everything from developing essential job search skills to maintaining your car’s braking system. My time as a content writer made me great at using the most effective language and learning about new topics quickly.
Now, I’m a full-time ghostwriter, and that’s because I love bringing other people’s stories to life. Whether you love romance, fantasy, or thrillers, I’d love to work with you.
2) excellent at receiving feedback
My goal during fiction projects is to ensure you—the client—leave with the story you’ve dreamed of. Feedback is an integral part of that process, as it is with all creative work. Whether you want a character to be louder or kinder, a setting to be more visible, or you’d prefer more dialogue, I’m always open to making edits and improving upon the piece until it’s exactly how you want it.

Don’t know where to start?
1) Outlining
A great story starts with a great outline. Already have an outline? Great! You can skip to step two. If not, read on!
No matter where you’re at in the creation process, I can help bring your ideas to life. Maybe you just know you want fantasy, and you’d like someone else to handle coming up with a plot? I’m your girl!
Or maybe you know which tropes you want to work with—like enemies-to-lovers or fake dating—and you’d like to see a story developed around them. I’m more than happy to create a full outline that follows your ideas and trope preferences.
Overview
The first element of the outline is the overview, in which we create a brief summary of what happens in the story. I like to describe this step as how you might quickly tell another person what happens in a book you’ve already read.
Character Profiles
After the overview, we’ll think about the characters and make some decisions about who they are and what makes them tick. Who are they? What do they want? During this part of the outline, we can include where they come from, and for fantasy, if they have any special skills or abilities.
setting
Depending on what kind of story you’re writing, nailing down the setting beforehand can be very helpful. For example, if we’re writing high fantasy, and it takes place in a completely new world, it can be helpful to roughly map what that looks like, and describe some of the regions and cities.
Even if we’re writing a story set in modern day San Francisco, I find it’s helpful to do some research on public transit, weather, and local slang.
Chapter-by-Chapter
Finally, we get to the most important part of the outline, which is the chapter-by-chapter portion. During this part, we’ll decide on the structure and pacing of the story. For example, this may include preferences for how soon and how often intimate scenes occur.
Creating a chapter-by-chapter outline also ensures we can agree on the story beforehand. Every detail is planned out before I ever sit down and start writing.
